If you think a woman is hot, then you're looking at her body.
If you think a woman is pretty, then you're looking at her face.
If you think a woman is beautiful, then you're looking at her heart.
What do you think about this? I think these statements are kinda accurate. If you are wondering why I'm not posing this to Daniel, has anyone ever heard Daniel call a girl hot?

I mostly agree with the first two; disagree with the last one.
I think "beautiful" can also be used in a purely a physical description of a person. But for some reason, "beautiful" does somewhat connote a tone of elegance and class--I think most girls would prefer to be called "beautiful" than "hot" or "pretty." You can ask them why.
sounds pretty accurate to me. you're right, i dont think i've called anyone hot... though there's a first for everything :P
how about gorgeous and cute? where do they lie? or are they not really part of this spectrum?
I found this comment on one of the manga forums I lurk on. I thought it had something to say because it reminded me of some discussion Andrew and I had.
As for gorgeous and cute, they are not included in this spectrum. How often do guys really say cute? Gorgeous sounds like something a girl would say or a guy who's trying to say something other than pretty and beautiful. Remember men are supposed to be terse. *grunt grunt
