I'm afraid I'm not going to try and be creative tonight because it has been too long since I last blogged on this thing and I feel you guys need a little bit of an update on what's going on in my life instead of laughs. I am back in California. I gave the cold weather and crappy city I lived near the middle finger and decided to move back to a warmer climate.
I am currently in the process of transferring to UCLA, but in the mean time, I'm trying to apply to Santa Monica College so I can take some courses I wasn't able to take at Rose (i.e. ballroom dancing, animation, computer game design). I also want to try out some computer science courses because I discovered I don't like chemistry as much as I thought I did, and I'm looking to switch my major.
Not only am I trying to take classes in Santa Monica, but also trying to find an apartment I could rent out in that area of the city. I was tired of the deadness that surrounded Rose and I want a little bit of action now. I thought I could live in a small town, but that only made me turn to the internet as my source of entertainment. I missed the events, movies, and culture Los Angeles had to offer. In fact, this Friday, the Egyptian theater is showing Lawrence of Arabia. This is a truly epic movie for you guys who haven't heard of it. It's about 3 and half hours long and requires an intermission. It's stuff like that which I missed.
In order to support myself, I'm also trying to get a job. I'm currently applying for a clerk job for a UCLA clinic and we'll soon find out if I'm hired. In the mean time, I'm trying to find some other jobs. I was thinking night auditing for a hotel or maybe becoming a waiter. My friend just mentioned Starbucks. Discount on coffee anyone? Alexander Baker is looking for a job and any advice you guys have, I'll be willing to take it.
It's nice to be home. The weather is beautiful, not that gray clammy type which plagued Indiana. I no longer have to worry about black ice on my way to Subway, the sandwich shop. I nearly died 3 times on my way Subway one night. How the hell do old people live in the Midwest? The best thing of all, I don't need to tell you guys, Californian girls. The Beach Boys had it right when they said "I wish they all could be California girls." Because indeed, California girls blow my mind. It might be the goggles talking, but I haven't seen women, these females aren't girls, they are too damn fine to be girls. These Californian women are AMAZING! I'm happy to be home and I'm looking forward to seeing you guys when you get back from college. I should still be in my parents house at that time, so feel free to call me. Hang in there guys! Break is almost here!
